INCORPORATED 1718 FALMOUTH MAINE Route 9 Construction MaineDOT's Route 9 reconstruction project in Falmouth and Cumberland began on Monday, July 26. The project includes widening the road and adding paved shoulders. Work will begin on Route 9/ Longwoods Road just north of the roundabout at Middle Road, Route 9, and Woods Roads (south of Sherman Drive) in Falmouth and end just north of Turkey Lane in Cumberland. Final pavement is scheduled for the week of September 16. Traffic delays are anticipated during this work. Hybrid Meetings The Falmouth Town Council, Planning Board, and Board of Zoning Appeals have resumed in person meetings with a Zoom option. This hybrid format allows participation by attending the meeting in-person or via Zoom.
