TOWN OF CUMBERLAND ELECTION NOTICE Presidential Primary & Special State Referendum Election March 3, 2020 CUMBERLAND INC 321 MAINE Absentee Ballots for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary and Special State Referendum Election will be available at Cumberland Town Hall (290 Tuttle Road), on Monday, February 3rd. Registered voters may vote in person or contact the Town Clerk's Office at 829-5559 to receive a ballot by mail. Telephone requests must be made by the voter only. To participate in the Presidential Primary, you must be enrolled in either the Democratic or Republican party. If you are unenrolled, you may enroll in a party up until Election Day. Once enrolled in a party, you must stay enrolled in that party for at least 90 days. You may also change parties, but must do so at least 15 days prior to the election. Beginning Wednesday, February 12th, a new registration must occur in person. The voter is required to show satisfactory proof of identity and residency to the Registrar. Office hours are as follows: Monday- Wednesday (8:00am-5pm) and Thursday (8am-6pm). The last day to absentee vote is Thursday, February 27th. The Clerk will be processing absentee ballots on Friday, February 28th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. If necessary, the Clerk will continue to process ballots on the following dates and times: Saturday (9am - 2pm), Monday (9am - 4pm), and Tuesday - Election Day (9am - 8pm). QUESTIONS?
