NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE Please take notice that: Bath Iron Works Corporation 700 Washington Street Brunswick, Maine 04530 Is intending to file a Traffic Movement Permit application with the Maine Department of Transportation pursuant to the provisions of 23 M.R.S.A. § 704 A on or about June 21, 2019 The application is for Bath Iron Works proposes to construct a second floor to the James Building site located at 290 Bath Road in the Town of Brunswick. Upon completion, approximately 450 employees (who previously worked from the site as late as 2017) and an additional 280 new employees will be assigned for a combined total of 730 employees. Peak hour trips generated by the former 450 employees are not a part of this Traffic Movement Permit application. The 280 new employees assigned to the proposed expanded James Building site are expected to generate the following peak hour trip totals: 179 trips 154 trips Weekday AM Peak Hour of Generator Weekday PM Peak Hour of Generator At the following location: 290 Bath Road, Brunswick, Maine 04011 A request for a public hearing must be received by the Department, in writing, no later than 20 days after the application is found by the Department to be complete and is accepted for processing. Public comment on the application will be accepted throughout the processing of the application The application will be filed for public inspection at the Department of Transportation Division 1 (Scarborough) office, during normal working hours.
