AQUACULTURE LEASE APPLICATION NOTICE OF HEARING The Department of Marine Resources is holding an in-person and remote public hearing to take evidence on an aquaculture lease application for the following: Applicant Name and Lease Type Wolfe Neck Oyster Company, LLC DExperimental Lease Standard Lease E Bottom culture Suspended culture (No Gear) Culture Type (Gear on bottom and'or suspended) Species Shellfish O Marine algae OFinfish O Other General Location, Southeast of Lanes Island, Casco Bay, Yarmouth waterbody, Town 8.00 Acres Acreage and Lease Term Requested Term: 10 Years The public hearing on this application has been scheduled as follows: AUGUST 23, 2021 3:00 .. THE AMERICAN LEGION LOG CABIN 196 MAIN STREET, YARMOUTH and Remote participation via Microsoft Teams If the August 23, 2021 public hearing is postponed or continued, an alternate public hearing will be held on August 24, 2021 at the same time and format. Notice of a postponement or a continuance will be posted on DMR's website. INFORMATION ON DMR WEBSITE: See DMR's website for the lease application and DMR site report: http://www.maine.govidmr/aquaculture leases/pending/index.html REGISTERING FOR THE HEARING: The hearing will be conducted in- person and remotely in accordance with the adjudicatory proceeding provisions of the Maine Administrative Procedure Act (5 MR.S.A. ch. 375, subchapter 4). Persons wishing to attend the hearing and ask questions of the parties or testify under oath about the effect of the proposed lease must register to participate. Interested persons need to complete an online registration form no later than 5:00 p.m., August 8, 2021. If you are unable to register online or need assistance with the form, please contact DMR. Online registration can be completed at: https://www.maine.gov/dmr/ aquaculture/meetinglist html. INTERVENING: Applications to intervene need to be received by DMR no later than 5:00 p.m., August 8, 2021. DMR will decide whether to grant intervenor applications five days before the hearing.
